But eventually he used the car less and less&#8230; At\u00a0some \u00a0time the only one that really drove the\u00a0big\u00a0Ford\u00a0was me.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/vermaatonline.com\/ford_zodiac\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/IMG_0458.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-68\" src=\"http:\/\/vermaatonline.com\/ford_zodiac\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/IMG_0458-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"The classic Ford Zodiac\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"http:\/\/vermaatonline.com\/ford_zodiac\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/IMG_0458-300x224.jpg 300w, http:\/\/vermaatonline.com\/ford_zodiac\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/IMG_0458-1024x765.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/vermaatonline.com\/ford_zodiac\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/IMG_0458.jpg 1296w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>How the big Ford became mine&#8230;<\/h2>\n<p>One day my father\u00a0was thinking it was a shame that the car was not driven much and decided he wanted to sell his classic.\u00a0When he told me this I immediately made him an offer. But (after some thought) he declined, he\u00a0thought the car was\u00a0more worth\u00a0than I was willing to\u00a0pay.\u00a0 I told him that if he changed his mind he would know\u00a0where to find me.<\/p>\n<p>A couple of months passed and the big Ford was not sold. When I reminded my father of my previous offer he said he would think about it. And a couple of days later I owned a classic car!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/vermaatonline.com\/ford_zodiac\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/05052012223.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-63\" src=\"http:\/\/vermaatonline.com\/ford_zodiac\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/05052012223-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"classic interior\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/vermaatonline.com\/ford_zodiac\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/05052012223-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/vermaatonline.com\/ford_zodiac\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/05052012223.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>So what is it like to drive?<\/h2>\n<p>The car is\u00a0easy to drive and pretty comfortable considering it is over 50 years old. It has no power-steering but when the wheels are turning the steering does not feel heavy at all. It does feel a bit vague around the center. So on higher speeds you are making a lot of corrections if you want to keep going straight. The whole car rolls a little when cornering but that also can be expected from a car this age. \u00a0The brakes are hmm&#8230; eh.. adequate. The engine pulls strongly and the car has no problems keeping up with modern traffic. Although it could use a fifth gear&#8230; And \u00a0the exhaust makes a beautiful burbling sound (but it is an aftermarket <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Stainless_steel\">stainless steel<\/a> one). View all around is excellent.
